Salado creek greenway San Antonio.

This greenbelt has great potential for all day running or riding. San Antonio is currently building 42 miles of continuous greenbelt trails that go through the city. I started @ 1021 Voelcker Lane. Just off of Blanco rd. Its a city park entrance with some gravel parking.

There's one clean portapotty and that's the last one you've got on the trail. Riding here is good but can be confusing. There are very little trail signs after you go under huebner and even less after hwy 1604.  From the trailhead, start down the trail and ride on pavement for bit, look of singletrack breaking off from pavement and weaving back and forth across it. After you go under huebner, lots of double track going behind large, fancy houses that back to creek. Look for more singletrack after the houses end, or else its hard to find if you stay with doubletrack. Doubletrack seems like it was recently resurfaced with cedar shredding that can be soft and difficult to ride in some areas. Watch for large rocks under shredded surface. Overall good trail when your able to find single track. Minimal drops or ledges on trail and can be navigated by most bikers. Creek looks like it could be a good place to cool down if there is no drought.  Singletrack was easier to find on way back for me, and if taken the whole way back, it will end on Old Blanco Rd. just outside of park gates.
Watch for those rock gardens! They'll get ya!

Post ride beer- being in San Antonio, grab yourself a Pearl.
